Stephen Leist, Managing Partner Stephen has a long track record of success in entrepreneurship, finance, operations, and leadership. In 1987, he was voted one of Japan’s 12 Entrepreneurs of the Year by the Asahi Newspaper for his restaurant chain, Wall Street Sandwiches. While in Asia, Stephen worked at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, eventually joining Citigroup’s Asia Pacific Equity Sales and Marketing Division as its Managing Director. In that capacity he managed operations in 11 countries in the region. More recently, Stephen served as COO of MCF Asset Management between 2005 and 2007. Stephen graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in History and attended the Falcon Program for Japanese Studies at Cornell University.
Yuriko Tada, Managing Director Ms. Tada began her career as an analyst in Citicorp's investment bank in Tokyo, Japan in 1984, covering technology, real estate and construction sectors. In 1988 she joined Gartmore Asset Management in Tokyo as a portfolio manager, managing the firm's Japan Regional Growth Fund, the first equity fund focused on regional corporations. Between 1994 and 1999 Ms. Tada had her own consulting practice in Japan, advising overseas institutions on investments in Japanese shares. Since moving to the Bay area, she has consulted for non-profit organizations, including the Japan Society of Northern California. Ms. Tada earned a BA from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York.
